The mission of the Limestone County Emergency Management Agency is to coordinate mitigation and preparedness activities prior to a disaster and to coordinate response and recovery efforts in the event of a disaster in Limestone County.

A coroner is a government official who Investigates human deaths, determines cause of death, issues death certificates, maintains death records, responds to deaths in mass disasters and identifies unknown dead.

The Animal Control department receives calls for assistance from the general public, various agencies and county departments. All calls are responded to, and appropriate follow-up action is taken as required. Animal Control duties also include maintenance on animal cages, keeping cages in an acceptable state of cleanliness, maintaining report of calls and equipment on loan.

The Limestone County 911 Office assigns street addresses or physical addresses for Limestone County. To obtain an address for a new dwelling, you must have the parcel number, or if it is in a subdivision, the name and lot number of the subdivision.

The Limestone County Volunteer Fire Departments provide needed Fire and EMT services to the residents of Limestone County by acting as first responders in many emergency situations. |
